Restigouche is New Brunswick's most diverse county. Here are deep forests, the province's tallest mountains and coastal plains. Through it weaves a cultural web that links its people and connects them with the nearby Gaspé region of the Province of Quebec. Like a spider's web, the connections may be hard to see, but they are strong.
That web is the inspiration for the dream Catcher, sacred to our Native peoples. It is said to capture both good and bad dreams while the owner sleeps. With the dawn, the bad dreams evaporate in the sun. The good ones remain. We invite you to "Capture the Dream" as you experience the Restigouche region; visit a lumber camp, explore millions of years of pre-history, go below deck on a French warship, learn about our past and present, our arts and culture, in six completely different museums.
Come, share our dreams on the Restigouche Cultural Web.
